Financial aid is money awarded to students to help pay for college expenses, including tuition and fees, books and supplies, personal expenses, and transportation. Financial support can come from the federal government, state government, and private sources such as the CLC Foundation.
Some kinds of aid are based entirely on need. Others are awarded on the basis of academic merit, athletic ability, artistic talent, or some other factor. Age does not matter when applying for aid.
Aid comes from many sources and it is not just for students at four-year colleges and universities! CLC participates in a full range of federal and state programs. Below is a list of resources:
If you qualify for the FAFSA, follow these steps to apply:

Complete the FAFSA every October 1st! You will need to create an FSA ID to submit and make updates.
Review your Student Aid Report (SAR). The SAR confirms the info on your FAFSA and will tell you your Expected Family Contribution (EFC).
Contact the Financial Aid Office. CLC may need more information from you, which will be reflected on your "To-Do List" located in your Student Center.

Federal Deadline for 2023-2024 Academic Year:
The FAFSA form must be submitted for consideration by 11:59pm (CT) on June 30, 2024. Any corrections or updates must be submitted by 11:59pm CT on September 14, 2024.
Illinois Deadline for 2023-2024 Academic Year:
Make sure to visit isac.org after October 1st for Monetary Award Program (MAP) renewal information. Awards are dispersed until funds are depleted.

Your 2020 tax forms
Your parents' 2020 tax forms (if applicable)
Your driver's license or state ID
Social Security card (if applicable)
