27 August 1919 - Steve Stevens was born in Amesbury, Dorset, England.
1939 - At the outbreak of WWII, Steve was student and the South Africa Bible Institute. When it was closed, he joined the SAAF, convinced that the prayers of his father would keep him safe.
1950 - Steve became one of MAF's very first pilots, flying in Sudan. (MAF had been established in 1945.)
Late 1951 - Steve had trouble seeing. A detached retina meant that his flying days were over.
Still feeling called to Serve with MAF, Steve established the UK MAF HQ and spoke around the country raising awareness of the MAF vision.
He organised a speaking tour for Marj Saint and Elisabeth Elliot.
1970 - He and Kay became early members of the National Festival Of Light (later CARE)
Steve became Executive Director of the Australian Festival Of Light.
