Why We Charge Fees
The club is volunteer-led, with coaches and helpers giving their time freely to support the local chess community. Fees collected go directly towards:
Hall hire and equipment storage
Operational costs such as insurance, safety training, and equipment
Coaching expenses to support the club and ensure we have experienced coaches available
These fees ensure the club remains safe, well-equipped, and properly supported for all members.
Membership Fee Summary
Paying the annual membership fee in advance helps reduce administration, allowing our volunteer team to spend more time focusing on delivering enjoyable, safe and well-organised chess sessions.
Annual Membership fee:
The club charges an annual membership fee
Group 1 and 2: £75 per child.
Group 3: £90 per child.
