How To Sign Up
All Players must be registered on the PCL competition platform on a Chess (4v4) team, with their team being registered by the team representative for the Collegiate Chess League competition.
Team representatives must fill out the Chess.com Registration Form here for their Roster.
Furthermore, all players must complete the Fair Play agreement. Failure to complete one or more items by the registration deadline (February 6) may result in removal from competition. The full competition rulebook can be found here. For more information, please reach out to Collegiate Chess League Commissioner, Joe Lee at joe.lee@chess.com or inquire via Discord in the Collegiate Chess League (College Chess) or PlayVS College League servers (PCL Discord).
Top teams in the highest divisions of competitions will compete for a piece of the $25,000 prize pool. Up and rising teams in the lower divisions can earn Diamond Chess.com memberships to help further their progress.

The Collegiate Chess League (CCL) is back for another thrilling season, and registrations for Spring 2026 are officially open! 😮
CCL is an online chess tournament with teams of 4 players from colleges around the world competing against each other.
Matches are every Saturday, where each player will play each other player from the other team (4 matches each: 16 games total).
🔥 Open to all UCR students — whether you’re a beginner or an expert. Players will be matched with others of a similar rating, so everyone gets a fair challenge.
