Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) App

This project is an AAC device that I created and programed for myself on the MIT App Inventor program. I chose 6 topics that are significant to my daily life, being my name, my coffee order, my dogs' names', my severe bee allergy, my sister's names, and my emergency contact. I created the different buttons, oriented them correctly on a screen by using the table arrangement feature, and programmed them using the text-to-speech feature to say the statements that I prefer whenever the buttons are pressed. This app can be used by individuals that cannot speak verbally, or those who have trouble communicating themselves, and want to be able to use statements that are signifigant to their life.
