Artifact 1
This artifact Is from a lesson plan during my student teaching of a World History class In the fall of 2022. The assignment was for students to complete a worksheet on Roman contributions to western civilization. Students had to use a website that I provided to find Roman contributions. Then, they had to draw a picture of that contribution. This assignment created a meaningful learning experience for the students by connecting the contributions from the Romans that still benefit humanity to this day. It was very cool to observe the students reactions when they found out that the Romans created something that Is still In use over two thousand years later.
Artifact 2
The artifact below Is a thesis and ACE paragraph assignment that goes along with a DBQ. The DBQ shows how the Black Deaths Impacted the development of European Society. This assignment connects to the standard by asking students to use evidence from the documents to create a thesis and ACE paragraph. Using evidence to support a claim Is essential to any class especially a social science course. The assignment was In the middle of the semester. It was created to build up their ability to analyze documents for the post test at the end of the semester.
