General Background (some details shift for verse, or individual interactions as needed.)
It isn't exactly clear what Ezra is; as where he comes from is long gone, and the words to describe where he came from no longer exist. It tends to happen when you're older than the current concept of time.
Ezra's family, for lack of a better term, were power-hungry and the fight for power left them decimated. Long before the others died, however, Ezra ran away. This caused him to be outcast as it was seen as turning his back on his people. Throughout his journey through time, he's seen every side of humanity and otherwise and has many forms.
For a long while, he enjoyed being powerful; the way he could sway a room, a village, a world to his whims. However, forever is a long time to live, and eventually, this life of chaos and entertainment at the expense of other beings stops being fulfilling.
Ezra has a talent for helping supernatural beings hone in their powers- be it demons, or witches, and anything else in between. Ezra's powers are (but not limited to): Energy transference, which helps people control their powers, Mood manipulation (through shifting energies), Aura reading, invincibility (though if he is seriously injured, it may take him days to recoup). Ezra feeds off of the energy transference; he won't die without the absorption of others' energy, but he will be closer to 'human' without a steady supply of energy to feed on.
Relationships: In most instances, Ezra is extremely reserved. Being around humanity has humanized him quite a bit, but he knows that it is fragile so he avoids attachment. Depending on the verse, he may see humans as toys, or he may have come around to the value of life. Either way, he will be resistant to forming any deep attachment to anyone who doesn't have some form of immortality.
