General Background (some details shift for verse, or individual interactions as needed.)

Eddie was born to a very young mother, who didn't have the means or community to raise a child on her own. Due to this, she began doing various things to make ends meet. She was an escort, eventually working for a 'drug lord'. Eventually she leaves, though Eddie doesn't know why. He simply doesn't hear from her again (or, if he does it isn't unitl much later).

He barely made it out of elementary before fully stepping into his first role, and because of this has only basic reading skills. There are a lot of things he does not immediately tend to understand, but learned pretty quickly how to take things apart and put them back together (mainly cars).  

Works for a pretty big drug ring. Mostly sells, and organizes some of the people who help on the outside of the inner circle (money laundering spots, people who bake edibles, other people who sell smaller batches, etc.).

Eddie loves animals, because they are just what they are. He connects to them easier; especially cats. He has a shed on his property that he’s outfitted with cat towers and places for kitties to come in and rest and play and have access to food and clean water. He does have one cat that lives in his house with him, but he also cares for the island strays and attempts to get them loving homes.

• Eddies mom was a sex worker; she did her best to keep Eddie from seeing anything, but he was aware of the fact that she would often have men over. She would simply explain it as working, and he never really asked too many questions bc he was very young when she was still around. **Unfortunately, she was very young when she had him, and Eddie was ultimately traded for her freedom. Not to Rio, but as a form of collateral she never came back to retrieve. Rio does know where eddies documents (birth certificate/SSN card, etc.) are, but Eddie is unaware of this. **Verse Specific 

• TW: neglect, abuse of various forms though not in detail: having grown up around drugs and people who abuse drugs, Eddie has seen the full spectrum of abusers and addicts. From a young age he was surrounded by adults that didn’t have his best interests in mind. Many people took advantage of his naivety in various ways (and in nearly every way imaginable), and he was often offered substances while being way too young to understand how they’d affect him.
