By the way, I always thought that this was a video game or something.
General
1. Thrones, eh? Garduinius has thrones, surprisingly. There's one for each region, usually named after a major city (eg. Throne of Toronto (aka, the Throne of UofT), Throne of Moscow). They're the symbol of power for the most powerful Kern in the area, though when they fight over them, they literally go and try to steal the Throne.
15. The blood magic stuff must be like necromancy (yay Delniia!), though I have to say, Valliyviit necromancy works a lot better.
19. Castles, eh? They would probably be the equivalent of the establishments in Garduinius (main HQ of the Kern). Other outposts and cities would be like the Kern fortresses. It's pretty amusing comparing them, however, since the establishments are often schools and company buildings and things like that.
20. That reminds me of the school-supply weaponry of the Kenili (they have a law forbidding new technology in weapons, if you remember from my presentation (you probably don't, but still)). So, Elonia's main weapon is a ruler (aka, sword) called Lorikala ("moonblade" in Frishenisc), which is sort of old and has a history (so it's more like Jon Snow's sword).
21. I could totally reference Game of Thrones by saying that Winter (the person) is coming. In fact... why not? Winter's pretty scary.
25. The wargs must be like Donkeytale Seers (though I've never heard Seers using an animal's eyes). The future-seeing stuff could be like Oversight (which dragons - and occasionally Diviners if they have the Peace - have), or janitors. (There's a janitor who's a prophet, which is always fun. It's not the greatest job, however. CUPE Local 4400 said they clean 25 houses a day.)
32. Obviously, rulers are swords, cahiers are shields, bikes are horses, supermarkets are battlefields, the usual.
Characters
2. That Stark girl that threw food at her sister during the feast... She reminds me of Elonia (of Kaeva), though I think she's younger than Elonia at the beginning? So does Bran, actually. I made Elonia repeatedly climb things.
5. The girl who eventually owns dragons apparently... She looks like Owl. Just saying.
7. Speaking of dragons... Garduinius has about two dragons in the modern one. One joins Valliyv and the other helps Zaldrith. In Valliyv, they live on the cliffs between the volcanoes in the desert to the south.
10. My favourite character so far is Arya, just because she's pretty similar to Elonia (especially of Kaeva). She does lack a bit in the plotting and general ruthlessness department, but I suppose she's younger than Elonia in any of my stories anyways. (Her name does make me think of a certain elf queen every time I see it, however... Eragon influences...) It seems that too many people like her, however, and I hate bandwagoning, so I challenge anyone who may be reading this (probably nobody, but whatever) to find me someone who is like Winter (my favourite character in my stories so far). So far, I find that he's a pretty good mix between Eddard Stark and Joffrey Whatshisname. Ruthless and cold-hearted and all that, but also sticks to his code of honour and cares about his family (he's closer to Joffrey's age, however). He likes to fight things himself and doesn't particularly want to rule, and is sort of impulsive.
17. About dragon descendants: in Garduinius, these are the Keepers... sort of (actually, Keepers have dragon-like characteristics because Quilside the first Keeper was blessed by them, but they're generally considered part dragon). This gives them Core immunity and occasionally flight and other fun stuff. In Valliyv, I use the D&D thing with sorcerers being part dragon (making me think of the Owl lookalike as a sorc), and they can draw on the spirit plane to produce elemental effects. Dragons in Garduinius don't have fire immunity (Zaldrith does, however. It's a Season power), only immunity from the Core. In Valliyv, it's probably immunity from the element of their breath power, which isn't necessarily fire, though that's the most common.
22. Actually, Joffery or however you spell it seems more like Cykurane (the Iglio prince in Kaeva). He looks more the part, too, though Cykurane I think is less ruthless. Also, Brienne = Engio (although Engio is not a noble. Or she didn't know that she was... long story).
23. Melisandre seems to be a lot like Threats (Kaeva), what with all the mysterious magic-ness and the influencing of one of the kings. Therefore, Stannis rhymes with zannis ≈ Isosceles Fire (aka, King Fire, King of the Onagas), and the Baratheons are the Onagas (never expected that plot twist). And so, Brenly Baratheon ≈ Scalene Fire.
24. On second thought, Winter could be Jaime as well. He's a talented warrior, though he rarely jokes with anyone that's not a Wielder (unlike Elonia) and probably wouldn't have broken his oath to the king or whatever.
28. The dynamic between Brienne and Jaime is actually really similar to what happens between Elonia and Winter at some point, strengthening the Winter comparison. Except it was the other way around: Winter would have been guarding Elonia and Elonia would have saved him randomly.
29. Zaldrith ≈ the mad king, amusingly. First, Zaldrith is the autumn season, so he has fire abilities (and an obsession with it) and is immune to fire (for some reason, I feel like I'm writing an essay). I'm not sure if the mad king himself was fire-immune, but some of the Targaryans apparently were, so good enough. The Targaryan folks also had dragons, and Zaldrith has an alliance with the Emerald Dragon Nellie York II, aka, New York. He went crazy with grief when the Wielders burned his brother to death in front of him as well. He got ahold of a castle, which is interesting, even if it wasn't a really legit castle (yes, he took over Casa Loma).
30. Winter ≈ Starks in general. All the worst things happen to him even though he's a relatively good and honourable guy.
31. Ygritte ≈ Nalana, a Cyclon girl in Kaeva.
Organizations
3. Stark could be Nelden, that Torontonian warehouse and security Kern. They both have a wolf banner. Solely in banner colour... Alawen? On second thought, with the climate and stuff, they could be Atalo (a Russian weapons manufacturer).
4. The King's house is obviously Antaria, or less so, Kapo. In Garduinius, though, that's a hard one. I guess the Wielders are the traditional rulers of all Kenili, but the French Kern Denière Espére holds the Throne of Marseilles, which is more important.
6. The whole seven kingdoms thing is like Willenasherry's system: a bunch of unrelated kingdoms somehow ruled by one king. Also similar to Kaeva and the Kern system of Donkeytale.
14. The Stannis guy (I'm going to pronounce it rhyming with "zannis" just because I like to be Valliyviit)... he seems Kapish. All the fire obsession and light against the darkness stuff (actually, Kapo's motto is "a flame against the darkness").
16. It seems that the Houses correspond better to Kerns, so here goes. Targyrean (or however you spell it): Wielders, probably, because of the dragon banner (hey, Noshen, did you make your art project because of that, or did you start watching Game of Thrones after?). The Wielders' banner is a one-headed dragon, however. In Kaevian terms, probably Antaria because they had the throne taken from them. Lannister the banister: Atalo solely for the symbol (Atalo has a lion banner). Otherwise, the Wielders are richer, and the Valliyv/Donkeys have the red and yellow banners. Generally, they would also be the Antarians... Baratheon might be Wielders/Antaria because they were the current rulers as generally accepted. Arryn would be Siriakalon because of the bird (Siriakalon's is a nightingale, however).
26. Yes, Nahanni was right in that the Wildlings are probably Valliyviit elves, though elves aren't all in the Arctic. In Kaeva, it would be the Cyclons (Cyclops type people who live in icebergs). In Garduinius... possibly True North? Nah, that was a joke.
27. Hm... What would the Kerns' Words be? For Valliyv it's, uh, "for Valliyv" because they have a habit of saying it A LOT. The Wielders' anthem talks about the Tracker and the Flag, so possibly they would say "the Tracker carries the Flag". Siriakalon... maybe "you are not welcome". They do say that a lot as well.
Plot
12. Important deaths/executions... In Kaeva, Lecria is executed, but she's not terribly important to anyone other than Elonia. Lots of royalty die, including King Meantime and Queen Solstice (Antaria), Elonia's older sister and Crown Princess Zalzam Solstice, King Isosceles Fire, Prince Scalene and Triangle Fire at the end obviously. In Garduinius, either Elonia or Nelza is executed when captured by the Wielders after the first apocalypse. I'm thinking Nelza right now just because making Elonia die would prolong the story too much, as much fun as it would be. They're both pretty important: Elonia's the Keeper and Nelza's the Hope.
Setting
18. Valyria or whatever makes me think of Valliyv... Old place, sort of magical, has a language... (It's also where Moonstone comes from, which is a very strong and magical material)
Comments
8. I have to say, the British accents are pretty distracting. They must be from a different part of Britain, too, since they're not even the same as the Imperial accents in SW:TOR, which I'm sort of used to by now (the "ar"s are pronounced /a/). Speaking of accents (pun intended), they aren't too prominent in Donkeytale (basically, everyone from Toronto sounds Torontonian, and so forth, although I think Winter has a Québécois accent). In Kaeva, the Antarian nobles sound British, Antarian commoners sound Canadian, Onaga nobles sound Australian, and Onaga commoners sound American. The Iglios have their own thing happening with a separate language. In Valliyv, basically one country speaks English (aka, Kapisc), so I guess they could sound Canadian.
9. That language of the horse people? It sounds like badly modified French. I'll continue to try to prove my theory, but I think Delniit is much better.
11. I always hear "Lannister" as "Lancaster". I don't know why.
13. Did you notice that the northern accent is a bit different?
