The Hunting Skills and Outdoor Exploration discipline is very diverse and encompassing when compared to some of our other shooting sports disciplines. It includes topics such as: Wildlife studies, hunting strategy, wilderness survival, map reading, cooking and orienteering. Understanding how to be a safe hunter and developing the awareness, knowledge and skills to be a safe hunter, is one of the greatest benefits of the 4-H Shooting Sports hunting, wildlife and outdoor skills curriculum. The discipline is valuable for helping young people develop self-confidence, personal discipline, responsibility, teamwork, self esteem and sportsmanship.
Chandler Hot Shots' Hunting discipline is developing. More to come on this.
