Archery

Archery involves a fascinating group of sports for youth of all ages. The fundamentals are simple. The requirements are few. A new archer can be shooting well within a short time, if he or she has the benefit of a knowledgeable mentor and instructor.  The 4-H Archery discipline includes instruction and practice using bare bows, Olympic-style recurve, and compound bows in recreational, competitive, and hunting environments.  4-H shooting sports members develop their coordination, confidence, safety, and mechanical technical knowledge while participating in the Archery discipline.
