My research activity is focused on the theoretical characterization of gravitational waves when non-standard contexts are taken into account. Specifically, I'm interested in the propagation in matter, with the connected problem of the reduced gauge freedom and the appearance of allowed modes which are absent in vacuum. The other main theme that I have addressed during the PhD is the sector of modified theories of gravity, namely metric and metric-affine f(R) theories and Horndeski models. 

I'm also interested in stellar structure and in the description of material media through kinetic theory, both in the context of modified gravity.

I obtained my bachelor degree at Roma Tre University with a thesis on "A factorization method for the Sturm-Liouville equation" with advisory from Prof. Orlando Ragnisco.

Then I moved to Sapienza University, where I got the master degree with a thesis on the "Behavior of gravitational waves in the macroscopic theory of gravity". The thesis advisor was prof. Giovanni Montani. 

I applied for the PhD in the same institution and I obtained it in 2021, with thesis "Morphology of gravitational waves in macroscopic and modified Gravity", again advisored by prof. Giovanni Montani.
