You will need to create a portfolio of evidence for each unit which is assessed by the tutor or assessor. The main pieces of evidence for the portfolio could include:
- Assessor observation
- Witness testimony
- Worksheets
- Assignments/projects/reports
- Record of professional discussion
- Record of oral and written questioning
- Candidate and peer reports
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

This qualification develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in a senior role with adults in Health and Social Care environments. It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health care procedures.

- There is no requirement for any specific prior learning. We offer the course at all levels and so tailor to your needs and career goals.
- Working with you, we will carry out an initial assessment to ensure that we know and understand your starting points for this course.
- If you've already completed a Level 2 course and want to study for the next level, please bring your certificates with you when you come in for your initial assessment.

Progression
This qualification can support you into employment across the adult social care sector, in a supervised capacity. The vocational knowledge gained by studying this qualification will give you an insight into the duties of an employee working at level 3 in the adult social care sector. Employment opportunities within the sector could include being a care worker in:
