We aim to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected, and where all individuals can freely participate in all activities without experiencing any kind of discrimination or harassment. Please read our Code of Conduct below.
The organisers of the 5th CESAMIR 2026 Conference in Druskininkai, Lithuania are committed to creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants. Our goal is to ensure that every attendee feels comfortable, respected, and free to engage fully in the scientific and social programme of the event.
All participants—regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, political views, appearance, disability status, sexual orientation, or academic background—must be treated with dignity and respect. We value diversity and believe that our differences enrich the scientific community.
Harassment, discrimination, or any form of verbal or physical misconduct will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:
– offensive comments related to personal identity or characteristics,
– unwanted advances or inappropriate physical contact,
– intimidation, stalking, or sustained disruption of talks or discussions,
– any behaviour that creates a hostile or uncomfortable environment.
Participants must ensure that their conduct allows others to feel safe and included at all times.
Scientific dialogue thrives when driven by curiosity, openness, and professionalism. Therefore:
– critique ideas, not individuals;
– avoid personal attacks, mocking, or derogatory language;
– acknowledge that the conference brings together people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Many participants are not native speakers of English—their pronunciation, accent, or spelling must never be judged or ridiculed;
– listen actively and respect others’ perspectives, even when you disagree.
All attendees should have an equal opportunity to participate in discussions, presentations, and social events. Avoid dominating conversations and create space for others to contribute. Encourage constructive, thoughtful, and kind interaction.
Participants who violate this Code of Conduct may be subject to corrective actions by the organisers, including verbal warnings or, in serious cases, removal from the conference without refund. The organisers reserve the right to take necessary measures to maintain a safe environment for all participants.
If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, please report at cesamirV.2026@gmail.com or contact a member of the Organising Committee as soon as possible.
All reports will be handled seriously, respectfully, and confidentially.
