The ACT is a college entrance examination that is just one measure of how ready a student is for college. All Utah Public Colleges and Universities accept the ACT. Here are some things that you may want to know about the ACT:
The ACT is an 11th grade test. This means that you may not yet have learned the material that you will see on the test.
Most students take the ACT for the first time during their 10th or 11th grade year. It can be helpful to start preparing in junior high.
KJH offers a practice test for 9th grade students, usually during 3rd term.

Be sure to check with the colleges you are interested in attending to ensure you understand the admissions requirements. Most students in Davis School District choose to take the ACT, but not the SAT.
The PSAT/NMSQT is an optional test you may choose to take. Here are some things that you may want to know about the PSAT/NMSQT:

For 11th grade students, this test is a practice SAT Test and the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT).
