This is a two week class during the summer. Students must be 16 years old by December 31 of the current year. Student must have Learner's Permit before signing up in May.
Students who take Driver Education first semester must turn 16 years old before March 1st.
Students who take Driver Education second semester must turn 16 years old before August 31.
Students with birthdays the September after their sophomore year must take Driver's Education in summer, online, or first semester of their junior year.
Students can take Online Driver Education through Davis Connect the term before their birthday. (Students must be at least 15 1/2 years old to begin the online course.)
For example, if a student's 16th birthday is April 21, they can take Driver Education during Term 3.
Students who take the class online must completely finish the class (27-30 hours) before arranging to complete their driving time with an instructor.
There is a fee for the driving portion of the class.
