Session 5 October 2023: Ocean Management & Planning
Topic Overview
The session will show the different approaches and applicability of the Conservation Standards at various levels of professional environmental management: development of 1) national policies/strategies; 2) institutional country and regional program strategies; 3) Marine Protected Area management plans; 4) university course focused on environmental strategic planning; and 5) project proposals.
The session will mainly focus on the marine environment and the Asia-Pacific region, and it is intended for managers who are curious or want to use Conservation Standards in different aspects of their work.
Presenter Bios
Luca Mori, Conservation International Program Manager, Delivery and Strategy, Pacific Islands Program. I work for CI from 7 years, and I specialize in program/project management, strategy development, and project technical assistance. I am Italian and I currently live in New Zealand (Auckland).
