Spanish Immersion Parents And Teachers (SIPAT), our school’s PTA, organizes and finances many of the programs our students and families enjoy throughout the year. We are fortunate to have a tight-knit community of families – a community that values language and culture, and deeply appreciates the teachers, principal, staff and academic programs at César Chávez Elementary School. This shared commitment shows... our immersion program is almost 30 years old and growing stronger than ever!
Fiesta is coming soon
Our annual Spring Fiesta and Family Picnic is coming up on Saturday, May 18 (2-5pm) in and around the MPR. Join us for this fun-filled celebration of Latin American cultures and the CCE community, where children can make crafts, play games, and enjoy performances.

May 6-10 is Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week! SIPAT wants all of our beloved teachers and staff to know how much we appreciate them for all that they do. Parents and families: keep an eye out for an email from your classroom rep with ideas for how to show your appreciation this week. And it's not too late to sign up to contribute to the Hospitality Committee's staff breakfast and lunch this week.
Final SIPAT meeting: Tuesday, May 14
Please join us for our final SIPAT General Membership meeting of the year on Tuesday, May 14 at 7pm via Zoom. We will be voting on important items such as the new executive board for the 2024-25 school year, a proposal to allocate funds to retain support staff, and additional budget items. You must be a paid member in good standing to vote, but anyone can attend.
