These 4 equilateral wooden triangles covered with small pieces of mosaic mirrors will be illuminated at night. Inside the last triangle a speaker will broadcast haikus and a light spot will make multicoloured waves.
David the creator will propose a workshop to write haikus about nature, life and emotions. These poems will be written on multicoloured sheets and then hung between the triangles to create haiku walls. The interior will become a lit space surrounded by these writings and sounds.

An innovative physical adaptation of the existing website, the.burn.directory, this project serves as a dynamic map of burn events across Europe and the globe. It not only enhances understanding of our cultural phenomena but also fosters community connection by showing where else we can meet. Featuring interactive elements, users can virtually "travel" through time, exploring past and future burns, thus broadening the scope for engagement and interaction within our culture.
The central piece is called „burn koffer“. This is an old suitcase that my grandmother used in the 50ies to flea from hungary to east germany and then to Munich. The burnkoffer uses unusual forms of input like faders, rotary encoders, trackball, an old dial, as well as a round led-display. The idea is to break known interaction patterns with computers to make it a more intriguing interaction.
Included will be an offline version of the.burn.directory with a different interface, and a new version of the burn portal –a 360° view of a few burns over the past years, like Nowhere 2015 and 2016, Afrikaburn 2014, Burning Man 15, …. While the directory allows to scroll through our common past, it also informs about upcoming events this year. The overall idea is to connect our communities.
