Q: What is The Cauldron?
The Cauldron is the name of the land ringed in by the Neverending Mountains. The Neverending Mountains are inescapable- they are an eventuality for those Outside the Cauldron, and once inside, no matter how deep you go into the frozen peaks you will never come out the other side. Being a basin of magic has earned the Cauldron its name, though from whom exactly is unknown. At the center of this Cauldron and the source of all magic is the Great Tree. It is of unknown species, but that does not matter in the grand scheme of things. It is merely the Great Tree, the Behemoth, the World Tree. It is so large that its roots are as thick as tree trunks, a single leaf large enough to cover a boulder. The sap that seeps from between the cracks of its bark is said to cure all ills, the flowers that bloom from it rumored to be so pure that a cat can eat them without growing sick. Strangely enough is this Great Tree hollow inside, and every Full Moon Gathering do the Four Clans come together to meet at the Heart of the Tree. At the base of the tree is another important meeting place, of which is known as the Scrying Pool. Every Half Moon does the Cauldron’s Coven of Witches meet one another at the Scrying Pool, staring into its perfectly still surface until they fall into whatever visions that the Veil will bring them.
Q: What is the Starving Dark?
The Starving Dark is one of the primary antagonists of CCMM. A cosmic horror not of this reality, it is a hungry thing born of the yearning emptiness every living thing experiences. An amalgamation of biting maws, a parasite that grows in the hearts of innocent and dastardly alike, the deepest shadows cast by the brightest of light. Should you want for something, the Starving Dark may take root in your soul…

The Clans at a Glance…
DesertClan: The Bardic
Bards and poets, the elegant cats that make the desert their home are a theatrical bunch. With voices that could put any songbird to shame and a penchant for drama, DesertClan take pride in being the founders of performance art within the Cauldron.
PrairieClan: The Daredevils

CavernClan: The Chroniclers
The most reclusive and secretive of the Cauldron Clans, these gigantic cats live below the soil of their forest home. Within their labyrinth of caverns are there fossils and crystals to be found, CavernClan keeping record of the Cauldron’s history.
IsthmusClan: The Crafty
With the synchronicity of a school of fish, these coastal cats swim through the water with more ease than they walk on land. Lovers of all things pretty and decadent, IsthmusClan use their deft paws to craft jewelry and illustrate with natural paints.
