Thespian Induction and Lettering

The Colorado State Thespians are affiliated with the International Thespian Society and the Educational Theatre Association. The International Thespian Society is a non-profit honorary organization for high school theatre students. The society is committed to the advancement of educational theatre. The International Thespian society publishes Dramatics Magazine, sponsors Thespian Festivals and theatre workshops, produces educational materials, and provides college scholarship opportunities for students.

Students earn membership into Pomona High School's troupe #4203 through hours (points) spent dedicated to the Catwalk Theatre Company. 60 points are required for a theatre letter and membership is celebrated with a yearly induction ceremony in May. A one-time induction fee is required by the International Thespians Society for inductions.

Pomona High School's Thespian troupe annually attends the Colorado State Thespian Festival in downtown Denver at the Colorado Convention Center. Students can attend workshops and compete in both technical and performance categories. See the link to Colorado Thespians above for more info.

Information on being a Thespian Officer and coming to meetings can be found on our Theatre Council Page
