Performance Dance

Performance Dance (Dance Infinia) (005488/9 PRF DNC 7/8 LK) for grades 6 - 8 helps students fine-tune their dance and performance techniques at an advanced level. The focus is on the areas of advanced turns, jumps and combinations of jazz, ballet and modern dance styles, in addition to choreography development as the students continue to fine-tune their jazz, ballet, and modern/lyrical techniques at an advanced level. Choreography continues in both solo and in groups, encouraging performance techniques to improve due to memorizing more complex choreography and advanced vocabulary.

• Performances: Disneyland, competitions, community events, concerts and more; participation in performances is part of class grades.

• Prerequisites: Audition tryout is required. Dancers must commit one-year for perfecting advanced technique and performing skills. Students should know advanced fundamentals of jazz, ballet and lyrical dance upon entering this class.
