Advanced Intermediate Dance

Advanced Intermediate Dance (005316/7 INT ADV DNC 6-8 LK) for grades 6-8 continues to improve upon students' strong dance foundation while focusing more on performing. Technique focuses on advanced turns, jumps and combinations with a strong emphasis on solo choreography development, perfecting advanced technique, and performance skills. Health units are incorporated into class.

• Performances: School concerts and the Choir/Dance fundraiser; participation in performances is part of class grades.

• Prerequisites: Audition tryout is required. Students should have strong fundamentals in jazz, ballet, and lyrical dance upon entering this class.
