Acinipo is een oude Romeinse stad ongeveer 20 km ten noorden van Ronda. Men denkt dat deze stad zo'n 2000 jaar geleden werd gesticht door gepensioneerde soldaten van het Romeinse legioen. De ruines bevatten o.a. een Romeins theater, welke nog steeds in gebruik is voor voorstellingen.
De opgraving is lokaal ook bekend als Ronda la Vieja, Arunda of Oud Ronda, ondanks dat deze opgraving een eigen historie heeft, los van Ronda.

Acinipo is a city about 20 kilometers from Ronda, believed to have been founded by retired soldiers from the Roman legions more than 2,000 years ago. The remaining ruins include a Roman theater still in use today.
It is known locally as Ronda la Vieja, Arunda or Old Ronda; though it has a separate origin and history from Ronda.

U kunt met de auto via de MA-7402 de locatie van de ruïne bereiken. Voor de ingang is een kleine parkeerplaats.
Bij de ingang wordt u door een medewerker het pad gewezen op de opgraving te ontdekken. Op dit moment zijn alleen het theater en de fundering van het badhuis blootgelegd.
You can follow the MA-7402 to reach the location of the ruines. At the entrance you will find a small parkingplace for several cars.
At the entrance you will be informed through one of the collaborators which path to walk to explore the excavation. At this moment, only the theatre and the foundation of the bathhouse has been exposed.
