Cueva del Tesoro

Deze grot vind je net buiten. Deze grot is extra speciaal omdat het slechts een van de drie grotten van onderwateroorsprong is die ter wereld bekend zijn en de enige in Europa. De andere vind je in Azië en Midden-Amerika.

De grot werd gevormd in het Jura-tijdperk toen dit gebied nog zeebodem was. Miljoenen jaren van geologische processen en tektonische bewegingen brachten de kalksteenformatie uiteindelijk boven water.

Cueva del Tesoro

This cave is located just outside Rincon. This cave is extra special because it is one of only three caves of underwater origin known in the world and the only one in Europe. The others can be found in Asia and Central America.

The cave was formed during the Jurassic period when this area was still the seabed. Millions of years of geological processes and tectonic movements eventually brought the limestone formation above water.

Fortaleza de Bezmiliana

In het centrum van Rincon de la Victoria ligt het fort van Bezmiliana

In de jaren rond 1766 had de kust van Andalusië veel last van Engelse en Nederlandse piraten.... om dit een halt toe te roepen werden her en der langs de kust vestigingen gebouwd om zo een eventuele aanval te kunnen afslaan.

Tegenwoordig kunt u in dit fort gratis wisselende tentoonstellingen bezoeken.

Fortaleza de Bezmiliana

In the center of Rincon de la Victoria lies the Fort of Bezmiliana.

In the years around 1766, the coast of Andalusia was plagued by English and Dutch pirates... to put a stop to this, fortifications were built here and there along the coast to repel any potential attack.

Today, you can visit changing exhibitions free of charge in this fort.
