The Scoop:

This event is being held at the  Silver and Gary Peltier farm yard  near Woodlands.

To date, Silver (originally from St. Eustache - Elie area) with Gary and volunteers, have fundraised, so far 1.8 Million $ for the Make a Wish Foundation over a 35 year period.   https://makeawish.ca/

Many businesses and individuals in the RM of Cartier have and are supporting this Ride for a Child's Wish , this being the 36th  year.

In a nutshell:  those with horses sign up for the Horseback Trail Ride at the Peltier farm  while motorcyclists register at the Warren Fuels Gas station.

There is children's entertainment starting at 3:30 pm, such as face painting, inflatable play structure and more.

 Dinner is at 5:30 pm. and consists of chicken pieces, pork, corn on the cob, baked potato, home made beans, buns, coleslaw and ice cream for dessert.

Dinner cost is 15$/person and 40$ for a family of five ( 2 adults & 3 children).

Attending the barn dance only is 10$ per person and camping is available but no electricity.

As it's a fundraiser, there are over 100 prizes being raffled off starting at 7:00 pm.

Taking part, enjoying a good old fashioned picnic style dinner, and helping make a wish come true for sick children makes for pretty good day.

You might also want to bring some lawn chairs and sit and visit with your friends and neighbours.
