This video was made in 1984 by PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) and Vision Video.
Very interesting history for those whom are not familiar with this way of life.
For the local population here, you might recognize some familiar faces and family names.
How things were done in 1984 probably doesn't even apply today.
As of December 2022, there are these number of colonies: South Dakota - 69, North Dakota - 9, Manitoba - 119,
Saskatchewan - 88, Alberta - 204, totaling 489 colonies.
In the RM of Cartier we have 11 colonies.
Their stories can be found in the 2014 Treasures Of Time II Cartier History Book.
This book and/or digital copy on a USB 2.0 drive can be purchased at the RM office.

There are also many books that have been published by Hutterites.
One of these is : I Am Hutterite by Mary Ann Kirby in 2007.

You can also get a glimpse of Life Living As A Hutterite by Giselle Waldner. She has been posting videos as a vlog
since 2012 and has 200 videos, 5,424,560 views and 28200 subscribers. Having viewed some, they are very interesting and all filmed here in Manitoba. I am very impressed with her talent in making, editing these videos and sharing what life is all about on a Hutterite colony.

Adina Walter is another young hutterite girl from Lloydminster, Saskachewan.
She has been posting Youtube videos since 2020. She has 28500 subscribers and over 2.7 million views.
Her videos are more open and transparent. Eye openers for sure.

This video is very interesting for history buffs, especially as this video pertains to our Red River.
This video was made in 2011 by the Prairie Broadcasting System (PBS).
Winnipeg had the Paddlewheel Queen and the Paddlewheel Princess on the Red , from 1965 to 2009.
