Summer☼

In this short summer break I filled 8 sides of A3 paper with pen sketches, designed and play tested  the Wand Thief card game, wrote the Wand thief myths and historical stories,  and went to Alton Towers and Thorpe Park!

Alton Towers Ride reviews

not sure if it was because of the weather or my lack of sleep that day but most rides where very shaky.

1. Saw (x3) - I actually loved this soo much. Got to be a new favourite. There is a turn that pushes you to one side of your seat making one of your legs feel like it is getting sawed off but totally worth it.

2. Th13rteen [x2] - Sooooo satisfying and smooth. Could go on that every morning

3. Wickerman [x2] - love the theme of this ride. the smell of wood is great hahah. was a little rough and shaky sometimes 

4. Spinball Whizzer - Me and my siblings tried to scream as loud as possible on our turn so that everyone in the park could hear us. We wanted to do this because we thought everyone looked unamused, but then I couldn't make a sound because I was dying of laughter.

5. Alton Manor - Soo much effort was put into this night ride!! I think it went past everything too quickly to appreciate all of the hard work. Fun because we all tried to keep scaring each other by screaming. And for once, the merch in the store at the end was definitely made for my demographic haaha.

6. Smiler (x2)  -  Felt very Shakey for some reason. I didn't really like the first time I went that day but the second one (front row) was a little more fun

7. Nemesis Reborn - Didn't really enjoy it this time.

Thorpe Park Rides:

1. Hyperia - Still absolutely amazing.  PERFECTLY SMOOTH and it has all the best bits from Stealth and Swarm combined. The view from up there is amazing, you can see the horizon line 360 degrees. would have definitely gone again if it didn't take so long to wait in line.

2. Rush (x2) -  They have shortened the duration of the ride :( it was still really fun

3. Swarm (x1) - perfect start to the day.

4. Nemesis Inferno - Was pretty good. not much views but fun.

5. Samuri - Felt really freeing 

6. Colossus - Still jammed my head side to side on this ride but it was definitely loads better than last year.
