in Block 5 I filled a sketchbook from start to finish, ideated for my personal projects, made two birthday cards for my family members, finalised our card game rules & mechanics, and went to Thorpe park ;)
in Block 6 I went to Spain so I drew a bit of my surroundings, and polished up my first year uni work ready for portfolio submissions.
Block 5 was mostly me resting and enjoying my break. I worked on my ability to draw from imagination and drawing stylized characters again — since I hadn't done it since I started Uni (9 months ago).
I also had an amazing time at Thorpe Park! we were sooo lucky that the park was so empty. Hyperia was obviously very busy (80 to 90 min) but the rest of the rides were very quick (maximum 30 min with some having no waiting time at all!)
Thorpe Park Rides Rating:
Hyperia - Absolutely amazing! PERFECTLY SMOOTH and it has all the best bits from Stealth and Swarm combined. The view from up there is amazing, you can see the horizon line 360 degrees. would have definitely gone again if it didn't take so long to wait in line.
Rush (x3) - absolutely amazing. could do that every morning.
Swarm (x3) - perfect start to the day. loved it so so much. going again after Vortex made my headache worse though.
Nemesis Inferno - really enjoyed it. it's as fun as Swarm but a little more shaky and without the views. The dark tunnel was a cool addition that I was not expecting.
Samuri - I thought I was going to get dizzy from the spins but it was actually sooo relaxing. felt like floating.
Rumba Rapids - funny since we were trying not to get wet. was a cite end to the day.
Sunset Cinema - the glasses were really fuzzy but the experience and short movie was pretty cool.
Stealth - loved the falling bit but the take-off is jarring
Detonator - loved the view... but honestly just feels like falling to your death.
Vortex - gave me a headache from the pressure. couldn’t enjoy it at all. also made strange noises and made it feel like it was going to break haha.
Colossus - kept slamming my head side to side into the seat because of how shaky the ride is. couldn't enjoy it at all. The corque screws were the only good bit because it didn't make my head get slammed into the seat. would not recommend.. only if you are tall (since tall people said they enjoyed it).
me and my sister also made birthday cards for our Mum and younger brother since their birthdays are in June and July.
