Working Towards an Equitable Assessment System

Participants think about assessment as a system and identify different types of assessments in the current system through the creation of an assessment inventory.  This inventory supports thinking about the elements of a balanced assessment system and how to improve the system.  This analysis work in Part 1 will support exploration of the subsequent session on assessment experiences, 3D assessment tasks, and evaluation tools and resources.  Following these sessions, Part 2 will support participants with defining the ideal state for their assessment system, conducting a needs assessment, and writing an action plan on how to create a more equitable assessment system for science.
