What are they key components of an equitable, three-dimensional assessment task? How does an educator know when to keep, modify or discard an assessment task?  In this session, participants use the Achieve Science Task Prescreen Tool, Achieve Screener Tool and the Science Assessment Emergent Bilingual Learner (SAEBL)Tool to evaluate the strength and limitations of NGSS tasks from previous sessions. They then have an opportunity to evaluate a self-selected task from the NGSS Assessment Database and use the Prescreen Tool to identify red flags.  These tools will assist in determining strengths and limitations of tasks and guide powerful conversations about three dimensional assessments.
