YOKO ONO

Yoko Ono (Tokio, 18 de febreiro de 1933) é unha artista multimedia, artista de performance, cantante, compositora, cineasta, activista pola paz e feminista, e leva séndoo dende hai máis de cincuenta anos.

Pioneira na arte de vangarda, abriu camiño para moitas outras mulleres na arte. Coa súa obra, que está ligada ó activismo, Yoko tenta cambia-lo mundo para facelo máis xusto, igualitario e pacífico.

Yoko fixo o que ela quería, ignorando ós críticos que a descalificaban pola súa raza e o seu xénero, e deixando que o seu traballo falase por ela.

Yoko Ono (Tokyo, February 18, 1933) is a multimedia artist, performance artist, singer, songwriter, filmmaker, peace activist and feminist, and has been doing it for more than fifty years.

A pioneer in avant-garde art, she paved the way to many other women in art. With her work, which is linked to activism, Yoko tries to change the world to make it more just, egalitarian and peaceful.

Yoko did what she wanted, ignoring the naysayers who belittled her because of her race and gender, and letting her work speak for her.
