A continuación, comezou a facer deporte no Ximnasio Lugo, e xa non marchou dalí.
When she was 16 years old, Tere went to Madrid to take an aesthetic course. She returned to Lugo, and after completing the A levels, she got married when she was very young, as she was 20 years old. At 21 she had her daughter Paula, and at 23 she had Marcos. Taking charge of the housework with the help of her mother, she began to take a vocational training course to become a Nursing Assistant Technician which she finished with honours. Because she got excellent marks, and she had begun to take other courses, she was called to work at the Xeral-Calde Hospital in Lugo with a contract for a few months.
The following winter Tere started a vocational training course in the specialty of Senior Laboratory Technician, which she finished with an outstanding mark. At the same time, she worked in Monforte in paediatrics. In addition, she continued to take courses, and she obtained the ownership of the post, which was awarded to her in Monforte.
She spent ten years in Monforte; during that time, she suffered an injury in the spine, because a fall on a bench produced her a spinal disc herniation. She was operated by a neurosurgeon, and she made her subsequent rehabilitation in Lugo in the year 2000. She then began to do sport at the Gimnasio Lugo, and she didn't leave.
The same year, she relocated to Lugo to the Xeral-Calde, where she worked as a nursing assistant; later she had the opportunity to do work as a laboratory technician, and finally she was put in the Emergencies Department. She got the post due her merit of work experience and training courses at the INSALUD.
At the same time, she continued going to the gym to get in good shape. Shortly after moving to Lugo, a series of particularly tragic personal circumstances led her to use sport as a therapy. According to her, she claims that, apart from her family, sport is the thing that helped her the most to move forward, and she began to become more involved and to take courses, to become an instructor of various directed activities.
Currently, she continues working in the city, at the new Hospital Universitario Lucus Augusti.
Tere believes that continuous training is basic and she gives great importance to it in order to do her job well. She also thinks it is very important to work at something that we really like, because that determines what we transmit to people. She likes to have contact with people, and as she says, "I work for the health of the people of Lugo, in the morning at the HULA in traumatology, and in the afternoon teaching classes of sport activities at the gym."
