Journaling and how can it help?

Journaling is such a great way to express your feelings! Using journaling as a coping skill is really helpful because it helps organize and express how you feel.

How to start journaling

Not only is journaling a great way to improve your mental health, but it is also super easy to do!

1) The first thing you need is either a journal/diary, or some paper. Then, you can grab a pencil, pen, crayon, whatever you want to write with.

2) Then you write! And you don't always have to write to express your feelings. For me, sometimes doodling is the only way to express myself.

Journaling ideas

Here are some ideas to start your journaling journey!

1) Write about your goals for the week. Every time you accomplish a goal, check a box off!

2) If you love writing, have a story idea page! This is a great way to stay inspired...you can also write about your dreams.

3) Write about yourself, your favorite tv characters, your favorite food, anything!

4) Journal your life in quarantine! Even if your day seems boring, writing about it helps you remember all of the good little things that have happened. The things that made you happy, write why they did.

5) Write about your perfect day. My perfect day would be waking up on a sunny day and getting to swim for hours and eating some delicious food!!!
