Art

How is art a coping skill?

People have been using art as a way to express themselves for years!

Art helps people with their anxiety, depression, etc. because they can put their feelings on paper. Art is such a great way to destress and can help your mental health.

What is Art? What can I make?

Art can be ANYTHING!! That is why it's so amazing.

You can draw on paper, paint murals in your town, design anime characters, paint portraits of your dog...the list can go on!

Draw whatever you find interesting! Art can be so relaxing because you can make whatever you can dream of.

How can I do art?

The best part of art is that anything can be art! You can make the most awesome art with things you find lying around your house, a pencil, some chalk, anything. Remember, any art you create with your heart, is awesome!

My journey with art!!!

During shelter-in-place, I have been doing more art. In the summer I did a lot of chalk art, which I got to draw Lilo from Lilo & Stitch, one of my favorite movies. I love art because it helps me relax and I get to draw anything I want!!!

Lately, I have been doing a lot of paintings and drawings! But, I want to start doing more clay art. :D

Crafts

When you're feeling stressed or anxious about something, crafts are a great way to take your mind off of the negativity. They allow you to express your emotions in a healthy way and relax. While crafting, you are able to forget about your worries for a short time and shift your focus to whatever you are creating!
