1 skein Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Bulky, Ruby Red, M-180

1 ball Trendsetter Zucca, White, #5051


US #10 circular needles 16”

US #10 double-pointed needles

Tapestry needle

Gauge

3 sts per inch in stockinette stitch.

To save time, check gauge.

Directions

Cast on 60 stitches with Plush. Join the round being careful not to twist. Place a marker.

Knit each round for 6” for hat band.

Change to Bunny and knit each round for 7”.

Begin decreases, switching to double-pointed needles when necessary:

* Knit 8 stitches, knit 2 together, repeat from * to end of round – 54 stitches

Knit 7 rounds.

* Knit 7 stitches, knit 2 together, repeat from * to end of round – 48 stitches.

Knit 3 rounds.

* Knit 6 stitches, knit 2 together, repeat from * to end of round – 42 stitches.

Knit 3 rounds.

* Knit 5 stitches, knit 2 together, repeat from * to end of round – 36 stitches.

Knit 3 rounds.

* Knit 4 stitches, knit 2 together, repeat from * to end of round – 30 stitches.

Knit 2 rounds.

* Knit 3 stitches, knit 2 together, repeat from * to end of round – 24 stitches.

Knit 2 rounds.

* Knit 2 stitches, knit 2 together, repeat from * to end of round – 18 stitches.

Knit 2 rounds.

*Knit 1 stitch, knit 2 together, repeat from * to end of round – 12 stitches.

*Knit 2 together, repeat from * to end of round – 6 stitches.

Cut yarn, pull through remaining stitches and secure.

Fold Plush band in half to the inside of the hat, and sew securely.

Add Plush pompom or tassel to the top of the hat.
