220 yards bulky wool (sample uses Noro Kureyon)

16" – 20" circular US #11 needles

Gauge

3 sts = 1 inch, 6 rows = 1 inch

Instructions

CO 40 sts. Knit 30 rows.

Pick up 15 sts on short side of rectangle, pm. Pick up 40 sts along CO row, pm. Pick up 15 sts on other short side, pm. (110 sts) Join into round.

Knit 2 rounds.

Next rnd: (dec rnd) *Knit to marker, slip marker, k2tog, knit to 2 sts before marker, k2tog, repeat from * once.

Repeat these 3 rnds until you have 70 sts. (30 rnds)

Knit 5 rnds.

Repeat dec rnd. (66 sts)

BO all sts.

Felting

Wash the bag in HOT water with lots of agitation. This can be by hand (wear gloves!) or in a washing machine. Wash with towels for extra agitation.

Finishing

Attach handles and you're ready to go!
