Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification is required annually, regardless of the expiration date indicated on the certification card. Students must complete a BLS course specifically designed for healthcare professionals.

RENEWAL REMINDER
• Students are encouraged to book recertification at least 30–60 days before the expiry date or clearance deadline, whichever comes first.

Hybrid/blended courses with an in-person skills assessment are acceptable
Training providers commonly issue Intermediate First Aid (IFA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) as a combined certification. A certificate of completion will NOT be accepted. Only official certification is considered valid.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I take online Basic Life Support?
Answer: No. Basic Life Support that is taken fully online is not accepted. Please ensure that you are taking your training at a valid and genuine training provider.
Can I use my Basic Life Support training from my workplace?
Answer: Yes, you can use your certificate from your workplace as long as it is not expiring during intended clinical term.
I don’t know which one to register for. Can you help?
Answer: Please email us a screenshot or the link to the website so we can guide you.
Can I send a completion letter instead of the certificate?
Answer: No, please make sure to book your training early so you can obtain your certificate before your clearance review.
My certificate states it is valid for 2 years. Should I follow that?
Answer: No. For clearance purposes, we follow a standard 1-year validity.
I lost my certificate. What should I do?
Answer: Please contact your training provider directly to request a copy of your certificate. Most providers can reissue digital or printed copies upon request.
