The project we submitted within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 3501 – Career Development Program has been awarded funding and will officially start as of December 30.
Within the project titled “Optimization of Protein Recovery from Duckweed Using Deep Eutectic Solvents and Molecular Dynamics Simulation-Based Analysis of Solvent Systems”, experimental and computational studies will be conducted together in the coming period.
We will continue to share updates on the progress of the project 🌱

Ezgi Pajo, a member of our research group, delivered an oral presentation at the 15th National Food Congress of Türkiye as part of a study conducted in our lab.
In the study entitled “An Approach to Increasing Protein Recovery Yield from Brewers’ Spent Grain Using Alcohol Solutions”, findings related to the valorization of food industry by-products were presented.
The presentation took place at the congress held in Sakarya in October 2025. The study was carried out with the support of a comprehensive research project funded by TÜBAP. We congratulate our student on this successful presentation and look forward to her future work 🌱

Miray Kulaksız from our research group has been awarded the opportunity to study abroad within the scope of the Erasmus exchange program.
During the exchange period, she is planned to take part in educational and research activities at West Pomeranian University of Technology – Faculty of Food Sciences and Fisheries. The Erasmus mobility is expected to last for 6 months.
We congratulate Miray on this wonderful achievement and wish her an Erasmus experience that will contribute to both her academic and personal development 🌍
🎉 Our TÜBİTAK 1812 Project Has Been Funded!
01.08.2025
Our project has received support within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1812 – BİGG Program.
With this support, we founded our start-up Vegami Gıda A.Ş. at Trakya Technopark, focusing on sustainable food systems and plant-based products.
Vegami is an initiative aiming to bring ideas that sprout in the laboratory into real life, with a strong emphasis on sustainability-driven food systems and plant-based innovations. This journey—where academia, R&D, and entrepreneurship meet at the same table—is incredibly exciting for us.
Moving forward in collaboration with TÜBİTAK and witnessing the growth of a research-based idea is a major source of motivation for our team 🚀
