Bagrut Mikud for 2022 in the written exams will basically remain the same as it was in 2021. Notice slight changes in Module C writing tasks with new topics to prepare for (both description and opinion).
The number of lexical items for pilot E, has not expanded.
In addition, teachers may take off ONE short story from the literature program for 12th graders.
Please make sure students who take the COBE are put in a suitable comfortable quiet testing environment, with the proper equipment. It is NOT the responsibility of the English teachers to take care of the technical arrangements . However, if you feel your students are NOT provided with such proper conditions, please contact your regional inspector, so that implications can be discussed with the principal as well.
In addition, it is imperative that students receive proper preparation and practice for the COBE.
For further questions you may contact Shoshi Harris, shoshi133@gmail.com
Pay attention that gaps between annual and COBE grades will be carefully monitored this coming year.
Changes on the Bagrut test as of Winter 2022
Due to massive cheating which was revealed in recent marking sessions, it has been decided to take necessary measures. For example, in Modules C - G an open question will be added to each module and the texts will be made slightly longer (around 20 more words).
Face-to-face testing for students who are identified as 07 or in special education.
Teachers who prepare students for Bagrut exams, must make sure they are registered in the Experts Site. They must fill out all the required details and upload their paperwork in order to be approved for oral testing of 07 and special education students and for reporting literature internal Bagrut grades.
Please do so early in the school year, as the Testing department must approve these teachers before the English Inspectorate approves them pedagogically.
On the Experts Site, you must apply to be : בוחן, בוחן הערכה חלופית, בוחן הקלות בע”פ , and upload: your academic certificate, teaching license / certificate and all the courses you took in the last two years. Teachers who did not take English in-service courses in recent years, will not be approved as bagrut testers and will not be able to test the 07 or special education students - neither in Bagrut exams nor in the alternative F2F oral exam for 07 students (instead of the COBE).
