Our school was opened as Yeni Sağmalcılar Middle School in the 1967-1968 academic year in the building of Sağmalcılar Middle School.
In 1974, it began providing high school education. The school's name was changed to Tuna High School with the approval of the Ministry on July 19, 1977, and for many years, it provided education as both a middle school and a general high school.
Our school moved to its new service building in 1998. Since then, it has become a highly successful institution, offering various types of education with departments in Verbal, Numerical, Equal Weight, Foreign Language, Fine Arts, and Sports, sending many students to higher education programs in these fields.
Between 2003 and 2007, it provided a four-year education in a foreign language-focused high school, including a preparatory year.
In the 2005-2006 academic year, with the extension of high schools to four years, it transitioned to single education.
In 2012, with the transformation of general high schools, it adopted the name Tuna Anadolu Health Vocational High School, beginning to accept students based on SBS scores in the fields of Nursing, Emergency Medical Technician, Radiology and Reanimation, Medical Laboratory Techniques, and Anesthesia.
From the 2014-2015 academic year until 2018-2019, it continued its education under the name Tuna Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, admitting students based on the TEOG exam results in Health Services fields such as Assistant Midwifery, Nursing Assistant, and Health Care Technician.
Since the 2018-2019 academic year, it has continued to operate as Tuna Anatolian High School, admitting students without examination.
Since its establishment in 1967, our school has adhered to the general goals and fundamental principles of Turkish National Education, striving to raise free-thinking, knowledgeable, and conscientious generations. Today, it remains one of the historically rooted and distinguished high schools in our district, continuing to educate qualified young people in the field of health services, alongside thousands of graduates who serve our country in various areas.
Classes
Our school starts at 8.40 A.M. and finishes at 3.45 P.M.
Lessons are 40 minutes each, have 10 minutes breaks between them. And also our school has 40 minute long break.
Our school has 2800 students, 35 teachers and 47 classes.
Classes' population varies from class to class. It can be up to 42 people, or down to 13 people
There are 4 types of different classes you can pick from when you start going to 11th grade.
There is Math based classes, Literature based classes, Language classes, and Semi math and Semi literature classes.
