On Monday, the first day, we met at the host school. After the welcoming ceremony, Italian team had the Power Point presentation about Italy and the monuments of Rome. Students had two activities that day; the first one was a discussion, work in groups to discover differences and similarities between people; and the second one was ‘Telling Vesna’s Story’ which also carried out as group discussion.
On Tuesday, We had a city excursion all day which gave us the chances to see and learn about Piazza del Campidoglio, Roman Forum, Palatine hill, Colosseum, Colle Oppio and Trajan Markets.
On the third day, we contınued with the project works; ‘discussion, activities and work in groups about equality between men and women and about treatment of women in various countries’, ‘discussion about the real meaning of social justice’ and ‘discussion and work in groups on how we can live together on principles of tolerance, peace and democracy’. That day, Teachers had also, a meeting to discuss the activity and the future mobilities.
Thursday was also excusion day that we visited Quirinale, Fontana di Trevi, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, St. Peter’s (only the basilica) and St. Angel’s Castle.
In our last day in the school, after the Film clip presentations and reports on the week in Rome, we had a Farewell ceremony and party at the school. The farewell ceremony was wonderful. Each partner played, danced, enjoyed the traditional music all from the partner countries. And afternoon, we had Guided tour of the Ara Pacis.
After all that wonderful week full of activities and Cultural-historical excursions we have left Rome with full of good memories and experiences on saturday.
