The state scientific high school “Plinio Seniore”, founded in the late 1950s, can be included among the “historical” high schools of Rome.
Due to its particular location, close to important administrative and cultural establishments (ministries, the central national library, the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and some faculties of the University of Rome "Roma Tre") the high school is located in an area of limited residential area and is therefore not configured as a neighborhood school.
The name of our school comes from an ancient greek philosopher, Plinio il Vecchio, who lived in the I century AC.
