In January 2023 an international fashion parade Straits Gala 2023 held at The Sail Superdome, Melaka This event marks a milestone to Melaka which known as UNESCO heritage city towards achieving another accolade as international fashion city. There were worldwide investors gathered shows their interest in art and culture. The evolution of cultural and heritage from various ethnic such as Malay, Chinese, Indian, Peranakan, Portuguese, Chetty and etc shown in many elements here including architecture. Therefore, this workbase calls for designing a shophouse for any tradition fashion such as clothing, shoes, accessories, scarfs or others but it must related to heritage and culture of Melaka. The design approach shall consider

1. Heritage element the courtyard, façade treatment, the arch, etc

2. Spatial element the space environment, space arrangement, special character of the shophouse

3. Sustainable climate responsive, materials resources, minimal harmful effects to environment and community
