‘Tastes of Melaka’ seek to create a unique and culturally rich café or eatery in the historic shop lot area of Melaka, Malaysia. The establishment will focus on offering authentic Melaka’s cuisine and beverages, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of the region. The design approach should draw inspiration from vernacular architecture and cultural traditions, creating an inviting and immersive dining experience.
In achieving these, the project intended to
Cultural immersion: immerse patrons with cultural heritage of Melaka through design elements, decor, and ambiance.
Authentic Cuisine: The café/eatery will exclusively serve authentic Melaka’s dishes and beverages, emphasizing the use of local ingredients and traditional recipes.
Unique Dining Experience: Create a memorable and unique dining experience that encourages patrons to appreciate and learn about Melaka's history and culture.
