Design 1 introduces the essential fundamental theories of design in architecture. Students undergo a series of design projects relating to design thinking and skills in 2D and 3D composition, creative ideas generation, form making, and spatial articulation. The design exercises require an appropriate design method and process that

demonstrates the development of skills in perceiving, imagining, analysing and synthesizing a particular issue. Projects are arranged progressively from one project to the other in regards to the learning outcome and complexity.
