Our research group welcomes motivated undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers who are interested in exploring the physical principles of lipid membranes, cellular electromechanics, and adaptive, memory-like behavior in biological and bio-inspired systems. We offer an interdisciplinary environment that combines hands-on experimental work (including electrophysiology, membrane reconstitution, and spectroscopy), theory, and large-scale simulations, with access to state-of-the-art national user facilities. Group members are encouraged to develop independent ideas, build strong technical and analytical skills, and contribute to high-impact research at the interface of physics, chemistry, and biology. Individuals from diverse backgrounds with curiosity, creativity, and a strong work ethic are especially encouraged to apply.Â
