Skye is an undergraduate student at Texas Tech University pursuing a B.S. in Biology with minors in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics and is a member of the Honors College. Her interdisciplinary training integrates the life sciences with quantitative and physical approaches to understanding biological systems. She joined the Bolmatov Lab in August 2026, where she is currently developing her computational research skills by performing molecular dynamics simulations using Texas Tech’s High Performance Computing Center (HPCC). As a CASURA Undergraduate Research Fellow, Skye is gaining experience applying computational and quantitative methods to problems at the interface of biology, biophysics, and medicine. She plans to pursue an MD-PhD program in the coming years, with the long-term goal of becoming a physician-scientist with advanced training in biophysics and physiology.
