Ashley is an undergraduate physics major at Texas Tech University. She is working under Dr. Bolmatov performing molecular simulations of phospholipid bilayers using CHARRM-GUI and GROMACS to analyze cellular membrane structure and stability. Ashley plans to attend multiple conferences this year including Southwest Association of American Physicists in Medicine (SWAAPM) in February, The Undergraduate Research Conference (URC) at Texas Tech in April, and Texas Section of American Physical Society (TSAPS) in October. Ashley has plans to present her research at the URC, TSAPS, and the departmental poster competition at Texas Tech. Ashley has been awarded multiple travel grants to conferences and multiple departmental scholarships.
