Treasurer / Secretary
Good Morning, I’m and I am the Secretary/Treasurer of our BNI Chapter.
My role is to:
Manage Chapter Funds
Co-ordinate and Introduce our two Weekly Speakers who will deliver an informative 8 minute presentation
I’m also your time-keeper, making sure our members keep to time when delivering their 45 second presentations

Your chapters resources are available on the Reports & Resources webpage.
Regularly balance the bank account with members payments and pay your chapters bills
The purpose of the chapter finances is to pay the chapters ongoing costs like the venue and catering and not to be making a profit. So don't have too much of a higher bank account however enough for the chapter to be comfortable covering the chapter costs.
Keep your bank up to date with who is able to access the bank account. It is difficult to update when the names become out of date.
Information is outlined in the Treasurer / Secretary section of the Chapter Operations Manual regarding bank accounts.
Explanations regarding why chapters do not have an abn are provided in the Chapter Finances document.
Setting up new bank accounts instructions are in the Chapter Finances document. We recommend Beyond Bank for any new accounts. They are experienced in the community banking sector.
There will be an overload of information. This is your go to area for the new couple of months as you find your feet and work through the various layers of information.
Your director is there to support you and the leadership team along with Marina Pitisano in anyway they can.
The other main contact for support is our BNI Melbourne Central Admin Team bnimcadminteam@bnimc.com.au
